Kintsugi is a Japanese art based on the wabi-sabi philosophy, which sees beauty in imperfection and value in simplicity. In a world that worships excess and has an obsessive focus on perfection, kintsugi comes as a refreshing approach with strong philosophical implications about us and the world. However, these unattainable and easily lost attributes are not valued so much in the Japanese culture of repairing pottery, which highlights imperfections.
