B-mode ultrasound was sufficient for biopsying the microcalcifications in 14 patients, although the presence of the twinkling artifact increased the number of microcalcifications detected and thus enabled more accurate preoperative marking. We identified and biopsied 41 of the 46 lesions under ultrasound guidance, including 24 of 25 carcinomas (17 in situ). We also used ultrasound guidance for preoperative marking with clips, usually orienting them radially. Microcalcifications that were not detected by ultrasound or discordant lesions were biopsied by stereotaxy at another center. We analyzed the percentage of detection and obtainment of microcalcifications by core-needle biopsy with this technique and the radiopathologic correlation. Once we identified the microcalcifications, we obtained core-needle biopsy specimens with 11G needles and then used X-rays to check the specimens for the presence of microcalcifications. We used ultrasonography to prospectively examine 46 consecutive patients with groups of microcalcifications suspicious for malignancy identified at mammography, searching for the presence of the twinkling artifact to identify the microcalcifications. To determine whether the twinkling artifact on Doppler ultrasound imaging corresponds to microcalcifications previously seen on mammograms and to evaluate the usefulness of this finding in the ultrasound management of suspicious microcalcifications. Perhaps the bad things I had heard about whole life insurance weren’t true after all. Under the tutelage of Dave Ramsey, I had some serious misgivings about whole life, but I also recognized my lack of financial knowledge in general, and so decided to suspend disbelief and see if I could learn something from Northwestern Mutual. Something I did know, however, was that Northwestern Mutual was a BIG believer in whole life insurance (a.k.a. I wasn’t financially sophisticated enough to know much about what I was getting into. How I Became a Northwestern Mutual Financial AdvisorĪfter interviewing with a few firms, I decided to join Northwestern Mutual. When I called him, he told me that I would love his line of work, and gave me a few companies to interview with. In the meantime, I had become disenchanted with teaching and after a few opportunities that didn’t work out, my wife suggested that I reach out to our financial advisor to see if I might like his job. Meeting with him was like storytime with grandpa-he was just a really nice guy. Our advisor helped us get life insurance and we opened Roth IRAs. Prior to reading Ramsey’s book, I knew basically nothing about finance, but soon my wife and I were working our way through Ramsey’s “ Baby Steps.” Dave recommends that you work with a financial advisor, so we used his “Endorsed Local Provider” search to find someone we could trust. I had one credit left on a canceled Audible account and I decided to purchase The Total Money Makeover. I was intrigued by his no-nonsense approach to financial planning, the simplicity of his steps, and the almost religious intensity he uses to get listeners pumped up to take responsibility for their lives. I was the sole breadwinner for our growing family and as I wrestled with financial concerns, I came across Dave Ramsey. I was naive about how expensive life is and soon found there were goals and life experiences that would be out of reach with my career choice. After graduation, my family and I accepted an opportunity with Teach for America and moved to Dallas, Texas, where I worked as a high school teacher serving at-risk youth. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English Teaching and minors in Spanish and Business Management. It was surprising to see such extreme fluctuations in speeds from a top-tier VPN provider like Surfshark that has a reputation for offering super-fast connections. Speeds to Singapore topped out at 333.04Mbps, but dropped to as little as 9Mbps, with readings everywhere in between. However, connections to Singapore saw the most erratic fluctuations in speeds. As expected, speeds to Singapore were the slowest, averaging out at 200.80Mbps. All of this contributed to a relatively meager average speed of 308.12Mbps to European servers. Speeds to Europe were fairly erratic at times, peaking at 358.86Mbps and dipping all the way to 18.72Mbps, along with a couple of readings around and slightly below 100Mbps. Granted, New York is a popular VPN server location for users, so there could have been some server load issues that played a part in those readings, but we still expected speeds to be much faster there. More surprising, speeds to Australia were also faster than speeds to New York at 330.98Mbps. That's why we were surprised to see that the speeds we measured to the UK were faster at 343.83Mbps than the 302.61Mbps we measured to New York. Typically, VPN speeds should be the fastest when you're connecting to a server that is closest in proximity to your physical location. We tested Sufrshark's speeds from Ohio to VPN servers located in New York City, London, Sydney, Paris, Frankfurt and Singapore. However, Surfshark's inconsistent speed results were even more disappointing than the minimal dip in speeds. That's slightly slower than the 17% speed loss we calculated two years prior. Overall, we saw a 19% speed loss during our testing, with average speeds while connected to the VPN clocking in at 297.27Mbps compared to our regular average internet speeds of 367.22Mbps. That said, we'd like to see a greater degree of transparency from Surfshark as well as more consistent speed performance across its server network. We recommend Surfshark as a first-rate option for both novice and advanced VPN users. It's a forward-looking VPN provider that's really putting the heat on the competition with some innovative ideas on what a VPN can accomplish. Surfshark offers tremendous value with an impressive suite of privacy and security features, easy-to-use user interface, unlimited simultaneous connections and one of the largest server networks in the industry - all at a price that's cheaper than most competitors.įounded in 2018, Surfshark is a relative newcomer to the VPN space, but is proving itself to be one of the best VPNs available. Cupid’s bow – or the V-shaped area in the centre of the upper lip can also be enhanced with dermal fillers.By enhancing this ‘double-ridge’, it is possible to give the upper lip more shape and curve, amplifying the sensuality of the lips. Philtral columns – are the two ridges towards the centre of the upper lip that traverse from the lip to the nose.Filling this area turns the corners of the lips upwards, giving the mouth a ‘happier’ appearance.
